Honorable Mention 2006 Kauffman Quilt Quest
This is Jennifer's second Art quilt. It also has the distinction of being the first quilt to win a prize in a national contest. Thalia is one of the 3 graces who's name means The Bringer of Flowers. The rules for this contest stated that the entire piece had to be created using only Kauffman fabrics including the back of the quilt. Using the required Nouveau Garden Collection, Jennifer created a serene image of a woman who appears to be standing in front of a large arched rose window. The details of the face were created by free-form machine embroidery.
